With only inches of snow, resorts across Western Washington delayed opening. Now, the slopes have several feet.
The ski area was a flurry of activity this week, as staff made sure a new lift and app were running smoothly.
Resort originally planned to open Dec. 1. But staff are hopeful this week’s snow will allow guests to hit the slopes soon.
Powder hounds took the day off, or called in “sick” with ski fever, to hit the slopes at the resort Friday.
Ellen Galbraith will start the job in June, with help from the ski area’s interim manager Tom Fortune.
